GP3 Series 2016 - Round 03 - Silverstone

For this week end only two cars were driving under the Jenzer Motorsport Colors, welcoming a new driver - Arjun Maini - alongside Akash Nandy.

As usual with a British Summer time in the qualifying - a humid track drying out - Arjun and Akash made a brilliant job in those tricky conditions, qualifying their cars P3 and P8. Akash Nandy had to serve a penalty he got in Red Bull Ring and had to start Race 1 in P13.

Race 1 : first start for Arjun in GP3 and lost a few positions, ending up the first lap in P11 while Akash went from P13 to P20. The race going on, Arjun made his way up to P8, assuring his first points for his first race and having the possibility to start on pole for Race 2. More quite race for Akash who finished P19.

For Race 2, conditions were again damped and the whole field decided to fit slicks on a damp (hopefully drying) track. Arjun made a good start from the pole but lost a couple of positions in the first two laps, heading P3 in the Hangar straight but unfortunately got hit by another driver who caused a puncture and he had to pit to change the tyres - back on track at the end of the field and despite the 2nd best pace of the field couldn't recovered his position.
