GP3 Series 2016 - Round 01 - Barcelona
Race 1 : When the lights went off, all the Jenzer Boys had a very good start, arriving into the first corner P4 for Oscar, P12 for Richard and P13 for Akash but a small mistake in this first corner cost positions for Oscar and Akash. The rest of the race was eventless, pretty dull to be honest, nothing happening through all the field and the position at the chequered flag were the positions at the end of Lap 1. Oscar finished P8, Richard P13 and Akash P21.
Race 2 : So little action happening in the morning race of GP3, all of it happening at the start, Oscar Tunjo had a good start from pole but Alexander Albon had a rocket start from 2nd row and took the lead at the first corner, despite having the pace and signing the fastest lap of the race, Oscar was not able to recover his top position and stayed P2 up to the chequered flag. Richard Gonda and Akash Nandy, the 2 other Jenzer Motorsport Drivers, got stuck into traffic and had to finish P18 and P23. All in all it was a positive week-end for the Jenzer Motorsport Boys, collecting points and showing some good pace. A big thank you to the Jenzer Crew who gave to their drivers a reliable and fast car for the whole week-end. A couple of weeks to rest and back on track at the beginning of June in Red Bull Ring for 2 days testing in order to improve our qualifying pace.
