F4 Italy 2016 - Round 02 - Adria

Round 2 of Italian F4 took place in Adria and was another decent week end for Jenzer Motorsport Boys.

Some highs and some downs as always and it started with a down, when Kevin Kratz had to pull out of the race week end due to after-shock from Round 1 in Oschersleben which kept him fighting with some headaches which prevent him from performing at his best level.

Qualifying went on and it was a tight fight at the top in Group 1 as the top 3 was within 0,033 sec, Marcos Siebert qualified 3rd of his group, while Diego Ciantini made an impressive P4, Fabio Scherer who was discovering the track finished P14 of Group 1 but at only 0,5 sec of the leader. In Group 2, there was only Giacomo Bianchi racing and despite some promising pace during the Free Practice, he didn't converted completely in the Qualifying, nevertheless he finished P10 of Group 2 at only 0,5 sec of the leader.

For Heat 1, Marcos was starting P4 and Diego P5 and they finished P6 and P16. In Heat 2, Diego was starting P6, Giacomo P9 and Fabio P19; Giacomo had a great start of the race, having a good pace and overtaking people but lost control in the fast chicane and unfortunately finished in the gravel trap, while Fabio made his way up through the field and Diego finished P9 scoring his first points.

In Heat 3, Marcos was starting P3 and by being patient and taking the opportunity at the right moment won the race while Fabio moved up from P19 to P9 and Giacomo finishing P14 after having to battle from the back after a contact in the first laps.

All the 4 Jenzer Cars were qualified for the Final Race of the Week End, Marcos starting P2, Diego P16, Fabio P19 and Giaocomo P26. At the chequered flag (with a big mess caused by the safety car in the last laps), Marcos crossed the line in P3 while all other Jenzer Drivers made their way up finishing P12 for Diego P13 for Fabio and P23 for Giacomo (who made the 4th fastest lap of the race).

Now Marcos Siebert took the lead of the championship and the Jenzer Boys are getting ready for the next Round which will take place in Imola at the end of the month.
